Key Product Decisions & Experiments
1. Delivery Scheduling & Checkout Experiment
Hypothesis-driven experiment to reduce checkout friction by removing delivery scheduling on web
Ran an A/B-style test across web and app over 2–3 weeks
Monitored sales trends and customer support feedback as primary signals
Observed increased support requests and a decline in web sales while app sales increased
Reverted the change and refocused on improving UI clarity rather than removing flexibility
2. Introducing Auto-Delivery (Subscriptions)
Led the first rollout of auto-delivery for consumable products
Balanced recurring revenue goals with user trust and checkout clarity
Designed auto-delivery as an optional, user-controlled feature
Reduced cognitive load by separating cart review from subscription configuration
3. Phased Rollout & Roadmap Alignment
Pushed back on full recurring payments due to payment provider instability
Proposed a phased rollout using WhatsApp payment links, aligned with local user behavior
Recommended a single checkout experience for one-time and auto-delivery purchases
Aligned product, engineering, and leadership on a faster, lower-risk launch strategy
This work is ongoing and continues to inform future experimentation and roadmap decisions.
Design & UX Execution
Iteratively refined checkout and subscription UI to reduce cognitive load, especially on mobile
Improved visual hierarchy, spacing, and contrast to create a brighter, more modern experience
Simplified navigation and labeling to make delivery and auto-delivery options easier to understand
Balanced growth initiatives with usability and trust signals
Designed within technical constraints while supporting ongoing experimentation
Reflection & What’s Next
This work is ongoing. Current focus areas include validating auto-delivery behavior, refining checkout clarity, and iterating on growth experiments while balancing user trust and technical constraints.
